I purchased Part #AP3738238 (8193951)Impeller For my Whirlpool GU1200XTKT0, but it does not match what I am replacing. The original part is an improved version of what I received, and the new one will not fit on the motor shaft- The hole is smaller than the original. I would like to get the correct version part number.


Looking at the part view #22 (Impeller) of diagram #8 (which is what I got):



Of the different views available, this one shows no shaft at the bottom sticking downwards on the black side. My original version does, and would serve to direct any seepage away from the motor bearing because it covers the motor shaft. The chopper fits onto the small shaft at the top on the white side. I've found several entries on the web of bearing failure after 18 months or so due to this type of seepage fouling the bearing, and the addition of a hollow shaft to protect the shaft from seepage that would get into the bearing would appear to reduce this problem. And the new one doesn't fit on the motor shaft.

So, what is the number of the correct part?
