I have a Maytag Portable Dishwasher (MDC4560AWW) and the soap dispenser does not open at the right time. At first it would happen only occasionally but now despite running it again and again it never opens at the right time. I run the cycle (usually on the normal wash setting) and each time I open it and find the dishes dirty and the cube of electrasol still mostly intact, usually lying in the utensil basket. I tried switching to powder and liquid but it makes no difference, I also made a point of always making sure the water was hot before starting the cycle, but that no longer makes a difference. The soap dispenser always opens, but I am assuming it is always too late in the cycle because the soap never gets dissolved. The latch on the soap door works so I am not sure what exactly it is that I need to replace. I read about the wax motor in other postings but I am not sure if that applies to this model. Please help! I miss my dishwasher

Unit does have a wax motor, sounds like it is getting power but is opening too slowly.

My guess would be that this is the problem
