Hi-- I have replaced a damaged accumulator assembly in this dishwasher, so when dishes weren't clean, I took it apart to see if it was operating fine. It was. I have been cleaning the system with a vinegar soak regularly. It seems like the top dishes come out greasier, and less clean than the bottom. (WHich aren't that clean) Any suggestions? I checked all the water outlets, and the top one seems to be a bit corroded but I cleaned it and it didn't seem to help. THANKS

I cannot find any info on the given model number, please check it.

A greasy film sounds like the water is not hot enough.
Check that it at least 120 degrees F when entering the unit.
Check that the heating element is working.


Since you have checked your pump/filters there is a possibility that you have a fill problem.
Most units fill to just under the heating coil.
This can be checked by adding a couple quarts of hot water after each fill during a cycle. If it now washes OK then check the fill valve.
Just be careful to not overfill it.
Often if the fill is low you will also hear a growling sound because the pump will cavitate (suck in air).
The most common cause is a dirty screen filter on the input side of the fill calve. Remove the valve from the unit and clean/check the filter.
Do not permanently remove it from the valve as it is there to keep crud out of the valve which could hold it open and cause a flood.

If it still does not fill correctly I would replace the fill valve.

Ok-- It seems to be filling fine but will check the valve to be sure. The coil seems to be a bit corroded so maybe it is the heat issue. Checked the model number again, it seems to be correct, maybe the B is an 8? KUDPO2CRBSO

OK I think I see the problem the original model number shown was KUDPORCRBSO and it should be KUDP02CRBS0.

Remove power from the unit and measure the heating element with a meter.

Also note there is a high limit thermostat inline with the heater. It should be 0 ohms.
