I'm pretty handy, not bragging but if I read a manual or take something apart, I can usually locate the issue, broken part, chipped piece, missing a piece, etc. In this case, the latch no longer locks the dishwasher door. The latch handle feels floppy and unattached but is in place. I have tested the electrics by holding the lever up in the locked position and the dishwasher begins to cycle. I believe the problem is contained in the latch. It's not going up and locking properly. There are three basic pieces, the handle, actuator and mount. For the life of me, I can't see any issues, it just doesn't work.:confused:

You have to remove the console panel to access the door latch assembly and diagnose the problem. You can find the complete instructions in the Service manual (pages 14 & 16).
