Greetings,
My dishwasher has begun to make a loud howling noise during the wash and rinse cycles. Otherwise, it works perfectly. I'm not sure of the machine's age, but I'd prefer to repair the old machine, as opposed to buying a newer unit from China. Everything in the low- to mid-price range seems so badly made!
From reading other posts on this forum, I would like to check for broken glass.
After first unplugging the unit,:o can I remove the pump cover from inside the unit? If so, what else should I remove? Is there any screen I need check for accumulated debris? Also, what I presume to be the pump cover does not have regular screws. Instead, the "screws" have an indented hexagram at center. What do I need to remove them?
You assisted me a fews months back in making an easy (and inexpensive fix) for my washing machine (lid switch). I sincerely appreciate your assistance. You're absolutely faboulous! Is there anything else, maintenance wise, that I shoud check for as long as I have the machine outside the cabinent and have man-friend help?
Warmly, Kate
