I recently replaced the control module because the machine was not working properly and the new module worked great for the past couple months until this week. I noticed that the dishwasher's front cover seemed warmer than normal and I also noticed a faint melting plastic smell. Now, a few days later, I can't get the control panel to illuminate or finish its cycle... there is standing water in the bottom.

I checked the circuit panel and power is getting to the machine. One other issue that occurred at the same time was our sink was draining very slowly. I cleaned out the sink drain and inspected the dishwasher's drain line and interior filter and everything is now clean.

I'm wondering if the partially clogged sink drain may have contributed to the dishwasher running hot a may have burned out my new control module?

Is there something else I can try to get this machine running again?

Thanks!
