I've got the same issues as gator except a slightly different mod #. Mine is hard to read but I think it is SHU4306UC/06. My soap door will not stay closed. Is there a telltale way to know if I just need a replacement door as opposed to a dispenser unit?

I got this replacement part, but it is vented! Doesn't the vent allow water to get inside the door? What is the advantage of the vent? My Bosch dishwasher is SHU5315UC/U11-V02.

The purpose of this vent is to evacuate condensation and/or steam into the base of the dishwasher behind the sump. The condensation tube must be connected.
