Unhappy Installation
Model Number: ADB1500AWB   Brand: Amana   Age: Less than 1 year

Almost installed and before securing in space the door latch sticks and is hard to open. Will finishing the process, leveling and securing it to the counter help the latch problem or should I replace unit.

very possibly it will fix your problem. if the machine is in there all katywampus it will flex a bit and make it difficult to close and/or latch the door. good luck and post your results here

I would pull out dishwasher slightly and if door closes ok but latch sticks I would spray some wd-40 on the latch and if adjustable with screws under the latch, I would adjust slightly out to reduce door closing pressure on the door seal.
If dishwasher is an older one I would try a little vaseline on the door gasket to soften it up.
