Hi,
Our Whirlpool dishwasher soap dispenser does not open durning its wash cycle. We've only used the energy saver mode... does that make a difference for opening the soap dispenser? It's a used unit that we've accuired and are just getting familiar with.

The soap dispneser lid is clean and manually opens freely. I've opened the console and the spring mechanisms seem to work also when manually activated. The next item to check is the dispenser motor part# 3374501. I'm not familiar w/ checking electircal parts. The replacing of the part seems straight forward and affordable... I'd like to identify if there are any other cosiderations before replacing this part.
