Door does not open or stay latched without using excessive force. Can I repair this?

Bob,

The first thing to check would be the door hinges and frame, to see if they're bent, the door shut be at 90 to95 degrees from the tub when the door is opened.

I'm not sure if your dishwasher has an adjustable door strike, you can tell by looking up at the top flanger of the tub and look for a 5/16 in hex head bolt, recessed in the flange opening, if it's there you can loosen and adjust the door strike, but not too loose, it only takes a little.

:) :) :)
