Dishwasher Repair

The water supply continues to flow in to the basin even when the dishwasher is off. I first thought water was siitting in the base because the washer had not finished cycling. I was wrong. The washer did finish the cycle and water did drain out during the cycle. However, when the cycle is completed and even with the door open, the water continues to flow. Any help would be appreciated.
