Please help. Below is my live chat conversation with AppliancePartPros.com:

Hi, I need to replace part number 8557720 on my Kenmore Elite dishwasher. The description is: spinner, 3rd level wash. When I look up the part on your website, the piece on the left looks the same, but the piece on the right is completely different. On the old part, the 2nd piece looks like a plastic thumbtack which goes on top of the Feed Tube and and it attaches to the spinner which is located on the underside of the Feed Tube. Can you explain why the part looks so different and how would I install it?
Dave: It appears that this is a newer part and the manufacturer may have made some changes. As for installation you could refer to our Repair Forum for assistance...

You can buy this spinner (part# 8557720) separate or as a part of the feed tube assembly (part# 8559849). The picture shows the spinner (on the left) and the outlet part of the feed tube (on the right).

Gene.
