When I pulled the drain hose off the sump assembly, I found a round piece of rubber loose inside the end. Not sure if this piece came from inside the sump assembly. There also appears to be a rubber flap just inside the connecter. I believe this to be a check valve? Could someone please tell me how critical this rubber flap is? and if the dishwasher will operate properly without it?
