Top sprayer not working

Model Number: MDB124BHS0 Brand: White-Westinghouse Age: 5 - 10 years

Water was only pouring out of top of unit. Found piece of glass in the cover-volute (housing). Removed glass and bottom sprayer now working, but top sprayer has no water flow. Check ball appears to close water flow to the upper sprayer. Is the cover-volute damaged, so check ball closes? What is next step?
