drain completely plugged looked like thick white grease
took it apart cleaned it and it worked for about a month then plugged again
took it apart again it was completely plugged recleaned it and now 4 days later it is plugged again with the same white gooey substance.
can any one tell me what might be happening

Did you see a white stuff build up inside the dishwasher? What kind of soap did you use?

did not see any build up inside dishwasher have been using cascade

I would recommend to clean the dishwasher, using a white vinegar as described in one of our previous posts: http://forum.appliancepartspros...pair/7757-whirlpool.html

Also I would recommend to check how hard is the water in you house. You can do it with a special test stripes which you can buy in any pharmacy. Post the result and I will help you to choose a right detergent.
