Default Leak down float assembly
Model Number: kuds230bwho   Brand: Kitchen Aid   Age: 5 - 10 years

There is a water leak comming down the stand pipe of the float switch assembly. I ordered a float switch assembly and do not think that will solve the problem, since the float looks different on line and there is a space when the shaft of the float goes into the switch assembly. Is there suppose to be a gasket inside the float to prevent water going down the assembly shaft.

Pull front bottom panel and remove the float retaining clip and remove float. Check the tub, you will probably find a crack in the tub. Sand it and clean it and put some silicone cement on it.
