Default Cycles On When Door Is Closed
Model Number: GU980SCGQ0   Brand: Whirlpool   Age: 5 - 10 years

Need help with this problem...The normal cycle stars and is completed. The dishwasher then starts the normal cycle on its own...no buttons presed. To stop the cycle I press the cancel button the unit will stop and the lock light blinks. If I open and close the front door the unit will start in normal cycle on its own.
operation panel or control board?

richappy is a glorious beacon of light
Default

Seems like a shorted key pad. No way to test, just order a new one.
