Default water draining and detergent door
Model Number: GSD900-02   Brand: GE   Age: 1 - 5 years

Hi, I am trying to find a picture/diagram of the breakdown for this model. I am helping an elderly woman who said the detergent door hasn't worked for years and now the dishwasher got stuck on a cycle. I turn it on and open the door quickly in time to see water entering dishwasher via lower spray arm yet it doesn't seem to fill with water. I tried to get the detergent door to stay latched by turning the cycle knob and there is no position where I can get the detergent door to stay closed. I hope to get a diagram of the breakdown for the door so I can find out if there is a spring or other part broken for detergent door. Also a diagram of how to take off lower spray arm so I can find out if the drain underneath it has a flap problem.
Any help with this model would be deeply appreciated.

Check the drain solenoid for burnout and make sure the timer moves during the drain cycle. If not, you will need a new timer.
