I received a new control board for the dishwasher. The electrical connectors on the old board are parallel but the new board has them at a right angle placement. I confirmed that the new board is current replacement. Should I just rotate the connector block to make sure that the colored wires match the color codes on the new board, ie gray wire to GY post, blue to BU and white with red stripe to W-R? They will align properly and make a proper connection. thanks

THanks Joe. That was the part and I matched the wires. Still only partial response on the touchpad panel, Do I need a new control panel?

actually, it looked like that but the part number on my APP receipt is WPL 8564542, but it shows correct part on your data base.

Weasel,

Yes, you recieved the correct part, based on all the available information.

What was you're original problem, was it, "some buttons did not work" ?

Try this first,

Disconnect the ribbon from the new control board.

Clean the end of the ribbon off with alcohol, make sure you install it properly and tightly in the connector, put a thin coat of di electric grease or vaseline around the ribbon and board connector, and try again.

If that doesn't solve the problem, you'll need to order the touchpad assembly.
