The controls on my Kenmore DW started malfunctioning lately. Normally we have several cycle options: Pots & Pans, Normal, Water Miser, Light Wash, or Quick rinse. At this point when I push either "Normal" or "Water Miser" nothing happens...the lights do not come on. If I push the start button it defaults to "Pots & Pans" along with "heated wash". I was able to change the cycle to a light wash after it started. But it never let me select "Normal" or "Water Miser". Is this the electronic control module or is there something else that would cause this?

Most likely the problem is a bad control panel (aka a console). If you need the correct part number then post the color of the console.

The part number for the black console is AP3097109. Keep us posted. Gene.
