i recently purchased a timer from app, installed it and it seems to work fine, however the water doesn't begin to enter on the heavy wash cycle for 2-3 minutes after it is started. solenoid is fine wiring is good , float switch is ok. works as designed on the other cycles.

I do not think there is something wrong. In most cases it depends on the way how you turn the knob.

how about this. when you turn the knob to wash the motor starts [is it good to run the pump dry?????] then it takes about three+ minutes for the water to start. more than half of the heavy wash cycle has expired before any water hits the tub. what does this have to do with turning the knob? when you line it up on start, it does so! but NO WATER.

Latch the door and move the timer knob very slow toward the start point until the motor start. Do not worry about the pump - there is always enough water to lubricate the seals because it does not drain all water due to the way it's designed.
