My dishwaser will not start, the washing light just flashes. I've tried turning the power switch off on the wall for a while, but no help. I've also detached the connection from the control board and reconnected but also no help. There are also no noises when I try to start it. Any suggestions?

The first thing I would do is check the door switches and make sure they are properly engaged when the door is closed. Here are the break down diagrams for the Frigidaire dishwasher Model FDB1050REB1Gene.

Gene,
I did make sure the door was closed and latched. I then tried to start the dishwasher with the door open and had the same results, the washing light would just flash. I also made sure the two black wires and two white wires leading to the door latch were connected.
