My whirlpool dishwasher started making a chattering sound. I looked all over and found the soap dispenser door relay to be the culprit. I replaced the whole soap dispenser with new one and problem is still there. Isn't this relay activated just once to open the soap door? because the chatter is there through the 90% of the cycle. Could I have a wire issue or more likely a control modual issue? How would I troublshoot to find out which?

There could be a bad connection but I doubt it.
This relay is run by a triac and odds are it is only firing on half cycles so the relay is getting about 60 volts. |
