Children decided to make over a dozen eggs and cram them into the disposal. The dishwasher was running and the eggs blocked the dishwashers draining. I came home to water on the floor and no one admitted they did anything. After cleaning the drain valves from the disposal I ran a cancel cycle on the dishwasher and the water that was remaining inside drained perfectly. However, now the dishwasher wont fill with water at all. it does turn on and seems to make a pumping noise but no water fills and no wash goes. Also, the minute count down does not seem to be working. I'm assuming these are related. Any ideas on the proper course of action short of calling in a repair guy?
