My Maytag dishwasher which I had for 7 years now is making a loud grinding sound when i first start it during the cycle that the water fills the dishwasher and then at a couple other points during the wash. This problem just started yesterday after I had my hot water tank replaced (with similar size tank). While I was washing dishes earlier tonight and the loud grinding sound was happening I turned on the hot water at the sink and the sound went away or was very low and when I turned the water back off it was loud again. Also tested this with the hot water in the bathroom upstairs and got the same results. I just recently had the dishwasher serviced for a new heating element and a new computer board.

Does this problem have anything to do with replacing the hot water tank?
