It seems like we are having the same exact problem as the above. We have not replaced anything yet and I'm wondering should we start with the thermostat instead of the heating element. The inside of our dishwasher is never hot. what do you think?

In order to provide more accurate advice we need the complete model number of the dishwasher. Gene.

The water never gots hot, nor does the drying cycle. We are thinking is the heating coil or the thermostat. Sounds similar to the above problem. Our dishes ar never clean enough.

Most times the same problem means the same solution.
