Dishwasher Repair

I'm not very good at repairs, but the diswaher did work when I took it out. When I put it back in the diswaher will only drain. It will not wash and does not seem to be getting any water in it......I read some of the other users problems and I read about a float valve. Can you tell me where I might find it on a sears dishwasher? I can not find the serial number but it does have ultra quiet washer on the front.

The float will be a small tower inside the tub usually towards the front of the tub.
If you remove the kick plate you will see the switch that it operates mounted under the tub/float assembly.
