Dishwasher stopped at the last-last step, just preceding the last drain and dry cycle, 1.5 inch of water stayed in the tub ( removed it manually ). Display shows "- -" ( 2 minus signs ). I verified AC in power, fuse, water hose exit, the particle holding screen to be totally clean etc. and all is OK. I pressed Cancel and after that nothing worked. As if it is dead.
I started the diagnostic program: "High tempScrub, Air-dry, High temScrub, Air-dry" . At that point all the lights above the panel buttons turned on and stayed on solid, and display shows code 88 ...washer stays quite, nothing happens.
Try to run a normal or even any of the cycles ...nothing happens and display shows "- -".
I tried for kicks to see if I can set the Child-safety lock on the panel buttons and that worked fine. So I have a sense that the Control Board is likely OK.
I think the code 88 (as per above) is trying to tell something ? Do you know what it conveys ? Or can you offer any ideas what to do next to help diagnose the problem ?
