Default Frigidaire (Electrolux) Latch assembly repair
Model Number: GLDB653AS1   Brand: Electrolux   Age: 1 - 5 years

Sirs-

I'm attempting to replace the door latch assembly, part #154434101, but am unable to remove the connectors on the brass prongs. There is a forum that tells a user to pry them off with a flat edge screwdriver, but won't that break them , meaning that I have to replace the wires as well? Please advise. Thanks.

Default Same repair, any advice?

Melv, I'm planning on replacing the same part. Have not ordered yet. Where did you get your's from?

Did your successfully replace the part? My original one broke, the white handle snapped, and it make opening the door darn near impossible. Any advise would be appreciated!

Thanks.
