Dishwasher starts then Humms
Model Number: KUD1021R/KUDL021R Brand: Kitchen Aid Age: 1 - 5 years
About 2 weeks ago when running it would make a loud noise. Now when i start it I can hear water running into it, then it does nothing but makes a low humming noise. Please Help!!!

What exactly is the model number of the dishwasher? You can find it on the door frame.

KUD1021RBS3. I read some other threads and checked the chopper area and found a couple things started it up again and still the same thing. Once started the water fills at the bottom then it a low humming sound. When I open the door I can smell a hint of something burning.

Most likely the problem is a stuck wash pump or a bad motor. In order to find out exactly what is wrong you have to remove the dishwasher from the cabinet.
Here are the break down diagrams for the Kitchen Aid dishwasher Model KUDI02IRBS3. I'm assuming number "1" after "D" and "2" actually is letter "I". Gene.
