First noticed that it did not clean, and soap did not dissolve. Ran another cycle and found little or no water in the unit when it was supposed to be washing.

I added a couple of pitchers of water and it worked OK. The water supply is OK.

I think the problem is one of the below:
water input filter
timer
imput valve
water level control

I cannot find anything that looks like a water level sensor, and the part list on this web site does not show one....??

I have not taken it apart except for some trim pieces for inspection. Before I do take anything apart, do any of the experts here have any suggestions??

Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

After taking the bottom covers off it appears that the water switch solenoid is open.

At least there is no continuity across the terminals of the valve.

I am still a little puzzled as to how the diswasher "knows" that it has enough water in it.

Other dishwashers I've owned always had a float that would activate when the water was full, but this one doesn't seem to have one...

For anyone that is iterested -- the water level sensor appears to be part of the water valve.

There is a second, smaller tube coming off of the valve and it appears that this is a water level feedback tube which will shut the valve off if there is too much water in the tub.

OR -- as in my case...

The water level feedback circuit was clogged somehow and the valve "thought" that the tub was overfull at all times, not allowing water to flow into the tub.

At first I thought the valve solenoid was open, but that was not the case.

A new valve fixed the problem.
