Is this the part you're working on ?

Part number: AP2039808
Part number: AP2039808

If so, you unscrew the bottom portion from the spray arm assembly and go from there.

Are you sure there's nothing broken ?

Good Luck,

It does not look like that at the base

looks like a flush fit, does have a angled plate that has a bolt holding it on to the bottom portion of the tube, also appears that there is a water feed for the bottom portion as well

wish I had a picture

Does your spray arm look like part no. 501 in this parts diagram ?

If so, its not repairable, it's a one piece assembly, and you'll have to order and replace the complete assembly.

Imhc,

Here's the information you need,

(click on part number for additional information)
Part number: AP4297555
Part number: AP4297555

Basic instructions
"The lower spray wash arm can be removed by gently lifting and rotating it counter clockwise."

This should get you going.
Good Luck,
:) :) :)
