Model Number: SHU9925UC Brand: Bosch Age: 5 - 10 years
BOSCH Model SHU9925UC, Stainless steel with control buttons on top of door that are not visible with door closed.
This dishwasher used to run so quiet that it was hard to know that it was running, but now you can hear a 'squeaky pump' running very loudly during the wash cycle and water continues to flow into the bottom of the d/w after the cycle is complete. If I hit the two buttons to CANCEL and DRAIN, then all of the water drains out fine, but then continues to fill back up and you can hear the 'squeaky pump' still running loudly. When I turn off the water the 'squeaky pump' stops running. Sometimes the d/w goes through all cycles cleaning fine, but continues to SLOWLY pump water into dishwasher after wash cycle completes (and thats when you finally hear the 'squeaky pump' very loudly). Again, Turn off the water and the 'squeaky pump' stops, too. My diagnosis is that it has a bad water valve. Am I correct in assuming this? Is there a step by step instruction on how to replace the water valve on this model. I'm pretty handy when it comes to mechanical repair, but I am stumped on how to get to the water valve. Also, if you tell me I need to do electronic troubleshooting then I will have to call an expert because I don't know how to spell ohms. Is the Water Valve my problem? If yes, can someone please guide me to instructions on how to replace it? Thanx in advance. Ads By Google Related Models Last edited by jbomber : 10-25-2008 at 01:06 PM. Reason: Clarify |

Pull the bottom kickplate off and see if you have water in the bottom of it the pump will run and pump if the float is turning it on. You may have more than one problem But definitely you need to replace the pump

So if the water valve is what I definitely need to replace then how do I do that? I can just start removing screws and see what happens, but I thought there may be a step by step procedure to follow. Thank You. |

If you remove the outer door panel the lower kickplate and the galvinized plate behind the kickplate generally held on by two screws you will have access to The DRAIN PUMP, The FILL VALVE. The pump and valve are two different componants.

When I go to appliance parts pro dot com there is no "pump" listed to order. Can you help me out by telling what part I need to order. I can only find the "water Valve" (which is currently out of stock). Model SHU9925 UC/12 (FD 8003-)
