Hi,

My Whirlpool WTW5550SQ0 works perfectly fine, except for one thing. When it reaches the rinse cycle, it stops. It stops for a long time. And water remains in the tub. Sometimes the timer will move to the next step, drain and spin, and other times I have to manually turn the timer and restart it. I'm guessing I need a new timer, but does anyone know if there is supposed to be a long soak at this point? Is there a sensor that let's the timer know to move on? And forget about Extra Rinse. If it get's there from the first rinse, it takes forever for the Extra Rinse to drain and spin.

Looking at the parts exploded view, I see nothing other than the timer that could be at fault, but I can't find any documentation that describes how the washer is supposed to operate. No specs, no load capacity, no time/cycle, nothing.

Any suggestions?

Brian
