Started the dishwasher to clean a small load and after about thirty minutes I heard a breaker go.
The dishwasher is wired to its own breaker so it is no doudt that the dishwasher threw the breaker.
I turned the dishwaser off and reset the breaker and turned the dishwasher back on.
It did not turn on and the status indicator lights did not come on when the power button was pressed in the on position and after the door was closed I could not hear anything.
The dishwasher had thrown the breaker twice in the past two months but I was able to just reset the breaker and turn the dishwasher back on.
A couple of weeks ago I openned the door and closed it and the breaker went off; I reset it and the dishwasher finished its cycle.
I knew that something was going on and just could not figure it out earlier.
I beleive this happened during the rinse cycle because the soap door was open and the water did not feel soapy.
Could the control board be bad?
Any help would be appreciated.

Start with the simple stuff. Look at the wiring connections where the wires attach to the dishwasher. You could have a loose connection in one or more of the wires.

I will do that today.
Is it possible that a fuse on the dishwasher popped or is there a reset button?
I will post what I find when I pull the dishwasher out and have a look-see!

Hey it looks like you do have the majic touch!
The wiring box that connects the dishwasher wiring to the electical wiring that runs to the circuit box is located on the front, behind the metal kickplate; so I did not have to drag that thing out....so far so good!
When I removed the metal electrical box cover the cap on the black wire was mealted and the black wire from the dishwasher was just hanging on.
I cleaned it up and reatached the wires, turned the breaker back on and the dishwasher is now running.
I then started to think how could the wiring get that way and I now remember that a couple of times when I would open the door and empty the machine there would be a bit of water on the bottom; in fact some water would leak out of the front onto the floor.
I wonder if some of the water leaked into the metal wiring box and caused the melt down situation.
I have been reading about several other folks having water in the base of their machine.
The water is clean and does not have an odor so I think it must be water leaking in from the water supply hose.
Is that a possible issue?

More commonly, installers just get lazy, and don't go the extra mile to protect the connections. I twist the wires together, twist on a wire nut of the appropriate size, then wrap the connection in electrical tape, starting just below the cap (so the wires have a hard time separating), and up onto the cap (so the wires stay inside the cap). This, along with the protective box, should keep the connections safe from all but the worst floods.
