Default water in water out
Brand: Kenmore   Age: 1 - 5 years

I get water in and it pumps out fine but it wont wash,when it goes to wash cycle I get a hum for about 5 seconds then nothing,but it will pump out the water and refill

That hum you hear is the motor attempting to start , this can be caused by a number of isses, the most common would be "something" stopping the motor and macerator from turning, not a tough task to get into the pump, remove the lower impeller and using a torx 15 bit unscrew the upper pump assembly, keep going until u see a screen and metal "blade" and make sure it can turn freely, a bad control board or the motor itself would cause same thing
