Model Number: GEGSD2000G00WW Brand: GE Age: 5 - 10 years
I'm not handy with repairs, so feel free to talk down to me. I viewed a couple of youtube videos regarding my GE dishwasher. So - Last night, while running dishwasher, smelled burning plastic. Opened dishwasher - cycle done - there was standing water. Removed a plastic lunchmeat top that was slightly melted. Removed the standing water, then the white inverted housing held by two screws. Removed more water. Tried the baking soda, vinegar, boiling water scenario 3 times. Still not draining. I want to try next suggestion of using the snake, but can't figure out how to get in there. Seems to be a circular white plastic filter with a metal thin clip? How/Can I remove this filter to snake in and remove blockage?
