Default disassembling dishwasher pump
Model Number: dwu8240AAX   Brand: Maytag   Age: 5 - 10 years   

In trying to gain access to pump parts that are clogged by minerals, I have removed the screw and o-ring from the center of the impeller at the bottom of the pump assembly but cannot pull out the impeller. Is is held in by friction, by threads, or by what?
