Hi bmaroney

Did you check both the heater and the thermostat?
Did you check wires?
If your answer yes then the problem is a bad control board.
Post the complete model number and I can find the right part number for you.

Gene.

Hi Robertbu

What exactly your dishwasher is doing? Post as much information as possible.

The problem with your dishwasher is a bad heating circuit. You have to check for continuity the heat element and the safety thermostat. Also check all wires.

If you need the part number to replace the bad part let me know.

Good luck.
Gene.

try pressing normalwash-heatdry-normalwash-heatdry-normalwash-heatdry-normalwash-heat then all the lights come on. Let run for a little bit. then keep pressing the start button. tell the unit shuts off, Your control board has a memory in it. So if you have cold water running in it one time. It will take longer to warm up. Your memory in the control board says its taking to long to warm up. Shutting down thinking their is something wrong with your heating cycle.
If it keeps happening you could have something wrong as Gene stated.

I have the same problem with a Kenmore Model 17362301. Clean light flashing 7 times, cancel will pump out, tried shutting off power to clear but to no avail.

I cannot get it to enter the diagnostics program. It does not have entry keys as described. The keys on the panel are: smart wash, pots pans, normal wash, quick rinse, hi temp wash, sani rinse, air dry. What is the sequence for entering diagnostics?
