Our dishwasher will not start. I went through all of the troubleshooting steps found in the manual and still can not locate the issue.

The "Normal" cycle light is blinking. I did unplug the unit, waited a few minutes, plugged it back in. I then pressed and held the start button, it sounded normal but only ran for about 10 seconds and then stopped. Then the "Normal" cycle light began to blink again.

The last load of dishes was completed normally with no sign of an issue.

I need to locate the faulty part. Thank you in advance for your help.

Hi,

Are you sure it's not the clean light flashing?

Check out this blog post.

By entering, then exiting this diagnostic program, we are able to clear any control errors, and get the unit back up and running,

Try clearing the control errors and try it again.

Yes, I'm sure it is the "Normal" cycle light is flashing. The "Clean" light is in the front of our unit displayed in what the manual calls the "Front Control Panel" while the "Normal" cycle light is on "top" of the door displayed in what the manual calls the "Control Panel" titled "Sensor Wash CYCLES." We have the "Superba" model.

I hope this helps... :)

Most likely the problem with your dishwasher is a stuck "normal" key on the control panel, but there is a small chance for the control board too.

I would start with the control panel. If you need the right part number for the control panel then I need you to post the complete model number of the dishwasher and the color of the control panel.

Gene.
