My dishwasher has had the problem of stopping multiple times mid wash. I would open and close the door latch and it would restart and it might finish the wash or it might shut-off multiple times again.

Today, it will not start at all and the latch feels a little different, more loose.

Perhaps the latch has been the problem all along. I assume it makes the electrical connection and am guessing it was not connecting snug enough in the past. By opening and closing the latch, maybe I was improving the connection?

Is there both a latch and a door switch or are they inter-connected? How do I replace the latch/switch?
