solenoid assembly melting
Model Number: GSD2200G00WW Brand: GE Age: 1 - 5 years
I have had 2 solenoid assemblies melt within 2 months. What could be causing this? Could the time possibly be sticking cuasing power to melt the solenoid?

Absolutly correct, you need to replace the timer and solenoid together when the solenoid melts. The timer is keeping the solenoid activated to long and causing it to overheat.
