When door is in full open position (horizontal), it no longer catches and holds at that position. It seems the hinges may be sprung and need replacing (or perhaps the fasteners or metal they are attached to are worn).

I have removed the front lower acces panel, but have not yet pulled the washer out to further inspect. A couple of questions:
(1) Does it sound like hinges are the problem and are they difficult to replace?
(2) Do i need to disconnect any connections (water, power, drain) fefore pulling the washer out a few inches to work on hinges. It seems like the drain hose should be OK, and maybe the electrical. The water supply is a small copper tube, but I am not sure it is flexible enoung to move.

Any thoughts or advice on this project?

Thanks.
