Model Number: DU9700xr2 Brand: Whirlpool Age: More than 10 years
I am replacing the pump motor assembly. How do I take out the pump base? How does the new one seat so it will not leak?

Once the wires and hoses are removed the pump is only held in by 4 locking tabs. When you unlock them you can lift the pump up and out, replacement is the same just in reverse. Here is the part info and appliance breakdown:
