Kitchenaid dishwashwer cleaning effectiveness has dimished over time. I reviewed this sight and came across a similar posting (http://forum.appliancepartspros...lean-top-rack-items.html). While helpful, especially the pictures referenced in the posting, I could not remove the food chopper cover to complete the cleaning. I even found a service manual on line. As indicated, I removed the one torx screw used to attached the food chopper cover to the base. Of course, I've already removed the Accumulator and the Foreign Object Protector. Should the food chopper cover simply 'pop' off? I tried to 'gently' pry off the cover - to no avail. Am I missing a step? Or, is this an indication that something is seriously wrong?

Thanks,
Leo
