I have a GE washer and the inner tub will not stay tight. The problems started when the machine got off balance. I replaced the hub nut thinking the threads may have been stripped. This lasted for two loads and the tub loosened again. I took it apart again and found that the ring split/split ring was worn very badly. I replaced this and retightened the hub nut. It did not stay tight even through one load. I noticed that the edges of the balance ring are very worn and was wondering if I should also replace this or if there are any other parts I should look at and possibly replace. Any suggestions you could provide would be much appreciated!!
