It fills with water and the dial moves through the cycles but it doesnt run.

Remove the bottom panel and check if the motor makes a humming noise when it should run.

If it does, the pump & motor assembly has to be replaced.

If it does not, check for 120 VAC at the motor plug and post the results.

ooops sorry, not sure. I know that when I was using it the dishwasher did not drain at all. It would just overflow. We have tried taking the catch and cleaning it, making it free of gunk. Hope that answers your question somewhat.
