Coupling just spins when trying to remove it
 

I'm trying to replace the coupling (part W10279256). I watched the video. The video showed coupling requiring a tap to get it to rotate clockwise. My coupling just keeps spinning both clockwise and counterclockwise and it won't come out. Would I damage the blender if I pry out the coupling?
