Sounds like the problem is with the pump/motor assembly. Could be a broken impeller, bad motor, or foreign objects (broken glass, etc) inside the pump.

Options:

1. Replace the entire pump/motor assembly (Pros: Easy fix, nothing to figure out, replacing the whole assembly takes less time. Cons: more expensive than separate components)

2. Take the pump apart and see what's causing the problem. Replace the failed component (impeller, etc.)
