Lightbulb When plugging in Downdraft Vent on GE Stove if flips the braker in the house panel
Model Number: JVB37H1BB   Brand: GE   Age: 1 - 5 years

I am trying to figure out what's wrong with my G.E. Downdraft Vent. It use to work fine and then today the breaker in the house panel flipped off. I then flipped the breaker back on after unplugging the Vent. When I plug in the Downdraft Vent back in the Breaker Flips off again on the braker panel. When I turn the breaker back on and plug in some other device like a blow dryer or the stove top thoses device run fine. So far I have concluded that my electrical outlet is OK. I then premataturly replaced the power cord on the downdrat vent thinking I had a bad power cord. Well that did not fix the problem. I now think I have a bad Gear Motor that controls the up and down motion of the Vent that is causing the breaker to blow. the reason I say that, is when I disconnect the power cord pigtale from the Gear Motor the breaker stays on. I have order a new Gear Motor but I want to make sure that that is the problem. Can anyone confirm I am marching down the right path.
